Magazine joins forces with news outlet to increase coverage

August 6, 2020

The Wealden Eye is pleased to announce it has teamed up with Hailsham News, the region’s free community magazine.

The collaboration will mean a greater audience for both titles and give our advertisers a more concentrated impact locally.

From its relaunch next month (September), The Wealden Eye will now be delivered to more homes in Hailsham as well as being free to pick up in selected retailers in the town centre.

Established in 2011, The Wealden Eye Magazine is a free community publication, full of exciting, informative and interesting features from around the area.

Hailsham News was founded five years ago and has published local news and information on its website at https://hailsham.news. In June 2020, Google Analytics showed the Hailsham News website received more than 85,000 page views in just one month from just over 30,000 local people.

For advertisers, the team up means they will receive a massive audience, not just from the 10,000 printed copies of The Wealden Eye, but from the thousands of readers of Hailsham News. Content and advertisers will now appear across both platforms. This will also continue across to the Hailsham Shop Local social media pages which is a platform to encourage residents to keep business local.

Jarred O’Toole from The Wealden Eye commented; “We are very excited about the new team and fresh new look for the magazine. With the larger team on-board, we are able to feature more local events, businesses and attractions. We are really looking forward to our relaunch edition coming to the town soon.”
